1. Does the 2×1 system perform better than the 2×2 system? The 2×1 system offers the maximum weight savings (13.2 kg) and is specifically tuned to offer a slightly higher peak power gain (5.5 BHP) due to the scavenging effect of the Y-joint.
2. Will my bike look asymmetrical with only one exhaust? Yes, this system converts your bike to a single-sided exhaust (usually on the right). This gives it a unique “street tracker” or classic racing look while significantly reducing weight.
3. Is the Fat Can louder than the stock exhaust? With the DB Killer installed, it is louder and deeper than stock but manageable for city use. Removing the DB Killer makes it very loud and aggressive.
4. Can I still use my center stand? SS MOTO CORP designs their systems to be as compatible as possible, but because the 2-into-1 pipe routing changes, it is recommended to check for center stand clearance during installation.
5. Do I need to buy anything else for installation? No, the kit is comprehensive and includes headers, the Y-joint connecting pipe, the Fat Can, and the DB killer. It is a complete bolt-on solution.
